"Hands down the best Furikake you will buy in Australia." Brett May - chef

We've created an all-natural, umami-packed, local Furikake that will boost the flavour and nutritional benefit of everyday foods. At the heart of this blend is Victorian kelp, a sea vegetable naturally rich in iodine, essential minerals and antioxidants.

FAQ

What does Southern Seagreens Furikake taste like and how do I use it?
It's a sesame and kelp based savoury sprinkle that you can easily add to almost anything you're preparing at home. Especially great on eggs, rice, roast veggies and noodles. Can also be sprinkled over a salad or soup.

Furikake was first developed in the early 1900's as a food sprinkle / topper to ward off calcium deficiency and malnutrition in Japan. Since then it's become something of a staple in pantries across Japan and Hawaii.

Is seaweed good for you?
Yes – known as the superfood of the sea, kelp is rich in iodine, antioxidants, and essential minerals, supporting thyroid function, reducing inflammation, and promoting overall metabolic health.

Where is Southern Seagreens based?

Ingredients:

Roasted white sesame seeds, dried Victorian kelp, black sesame seeds, miso powder, ground pumpkin seeds and a pinch of raw sugar. Gluten free.
